I haven't even had a chance to get out yet! Driving me crazy!! Going to try and go on Monday but not betting on it, works been crazy and think i got a promotion coming.
I've been thinking the same thing. Should and could kill a doe, but im going to hold off until after the rut or possibly smoke a big muley doe next weekend if the opportunity presents itself. Well I planned to get out for the first time this weekend but my truck is out of commission. Long story short the pinion nut backed itself out (feds are pushing for a recall as of 2 months ago) causing the driveshaft to drop and the rearend to lock up. Won't get my truck back until Monday at the earliest.
I'm out west hunting muleys. Waiting to meet up with a farmer in about 10 min. Another one shortly after. Saw 2 bucks fighting last night. Smaller whitetails. Will update more soon. Limited service. Sent from my XT1096 using Tapatalk
I'll find out Oct 25. I spoke to someone at fish and wildlife and I stand a good chance that I'll get one. Only problem is that new jersey doesn't allow harvesting a bear with a bow. I'll have to buy or borrow a rifle.
sorry I've been pretty quite guys!!! I work a week on a week off and I work nights so I'm tied up every other week!!! Heading out in the AM on doe patrol so hoping I get one!!! Good to see some of us are putting points up!!!
well didn't see anything is AM!! Got 2 more nights of work then its my week off and scrapes are starting to explode so it could be a good week for me durning my week off!!!
Went out this morning, rained out hard. saw fat doe that made me wanna fill the freezer, but i figured id wait.
Plenty of time left for does if waiting. I'm too impatient and wanted to shoot something with new bow. No real reason except excited like a little kid for Christmas. Might hunt once this week in bale blind and try to get another doe. Otherwise letting things settle for a week or more before the pre-rut and rut happen. Still have a stand I've never sat in and saving for rut with potential for some nice bucks.
