Here is a run down of one of my plots and what I did to make it.It is about a 1/4 acre.

I tried the spray round up a few times and broadcast seeds method last year, but with me spraying by mistake 24-D (thought it was round up left over)and a drought, 10 brassica plants and a few clover patches came up. My other plot I didnt mix in 24-d came in awesome.

So I figure I would give it another try this year as there was nothing much growing there. Plus the rocks in this plot,I kept the equipment out of it. I live on a farm with access to a big dozer and backhoe, but I choose to mess around with my ATV.

This spring I sprayed round up(tank mixed some Antler King Plot Max) at first green up with my ATV homemade boom sprayer. I broadcasted some pellitized lime and drug that in/had good rains. I followed up with spot spraying round up as needed with my Hand Pump sprayer up until last week.

This past weekend I broadcasted some fertilizer(20-19-19) and seeds (brace yourself) a Antler King mix called "Slam Dunk" (25%radishes,25%Athena Rape,25%Buckwheat, 25%Winter Pea) and little bit of their "Honey Hole" (3 varieties of rape and 2 varieties of turnips).

So I broadcasted the fertilizer/seeds and then drug my lawn de thatcher around with my 4 wheeler. Here are some pictures of the job it did. I like the lines it makes/ kinda like a cultipacker. I couldnt find any of the seeds I broadcasted as it did a good job covering it.

So I will update this post with pictures. Got a little bit of rain after planting. We will see what happens and thanks for looking!

Ya thanks. I just broadcasted some 19-19-19 and hope some rain is moving in soon! I also hit it with Jolt(Foliar fertilizer spray).

Awesome job. Goes to show what you can do with minimal equipment.

Thanks for the replies. "HONEY HOLE" is one of the two mixes I used here. :)

I live on a farm, so there is lots of big machines, but I choose to do stuff on the small scale. My other 3 small plots used to be brush/rock piles then the backhoe/dozer made them flat.

But armed with a pump sprayer, round up, broadcast spreader and some sorta drag you can get creative.:)
