My dad and I were planning on taking an out of state trip for the first time going deer hunting. Our top 3 states we are interested in are Ohio or Kansas. Does anyone have any recommendations on a good outfitter? We are looking to do a semi-guided bow hunt early-mid season. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

Hmmmmm. lol Big difference in the two of them. Kansas is a draw state, and Ohio isn't.

Montana Whitetails. If you want to see big bucks but also see 100-200 deer each sit that is the place. I harvested a big 9 pt at 10 yards after seeing 150 deer from the tree stand. Nothing compares to the action

For a early season season hunt and if your not concerned with real trophy potential, and you be satisfied with bucks in the 115-130 range ...look at eastern Montana, eastern Wyoming and Colorado. Further more don't rule out Texas.

Are you wanting free range or high fence?

You can check out Starkey Hollow Whitetails and Exotics in Ohio

If you don't wanna spend 5k don't go to KS that's cost of most good outfitters. Southern Ohio outfitters in Ohio is reasonable price 2k and good place. Kansas is good but tough hunt and expensive.

Kansas is the place for BIG bucks. I have a personal situation where I have to look for someone to take my guaranteed spot for a 6-10 Nov rut hunt. Owner is President of Kansas Outfitter's Association!! Very reputable, obviously!
