Hey guys haven't posted much but have watched and learned here for a long time! I shoot Easton axis 340 right now and just got a new bow and an thinking about getting fmj deep six. I shoot a elite synergy at 74 pounds with a 29.5 draw length. What arrows do you think I should get? Thanks!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I shoot at the same specs as you pretty much, I would recommend carbon express piledrivers 11.3 gpi hit hard and are tough arrows.
First thing your going to have to do is tell us an arrow length and point weight otherwise everything is speculation. So let's speculate anyway. I tuned a couple synergies and the don't like especially stiff shafts, mostly because of the mild cams on them. That said at 29.5 74# assuming a 28-29.5 shaft your going to be looking at a .300 spine arrow with 125 grain head. Also with a synergy I wouldn't even consider the heaviest arrows like FMJ or pile drivers, your shooting a fairly mild bow and unless you want to be shooting in the 220-230s stay away from them. A better choice would be for example BEA Spartans, BEA Rampages with Hits, gold tip velocity XT or pro, Easton Hexx, ACCs All these in 300 will get you close to where you want to be.
Looks like 300s to me. You could shoot the 340s you have now just back the poundage down to 70-72 with 100 grain tips, and you'll be golden. Sent from my USCC-C6721 using Tapatalk
I think Easton Axis 340's are just fine unless you just just want new arrows. Then it depends on what you want for hunting weight, 3d weight etc. Easton Axis 340's cut 28.5 inches should weigh around 440 gr with 125 gr head and shoot around 280 fps at your specs.
