do you leave them out all year or not ?

Not really meant for bragging , just curious as to what everyone has out . Kind of gives me a better idea of what others are talking about when they are describing how there season is going .

Ours are all ladder stands and we leave them up all year . we do go and check straps about this time of year (done) and on occasion have to change a seat cushion or back rest but we're not in to the whole take them down and put them back up thing .

I have several farms that I hunt and share some of them with my brother so we have several stands . Right now we have 21 stands up and 3 in my shop that are just waiting for us to find a place for them .

Probably going to give one of the extras away again though as we have a new family in town and their 16 year old boy could use some help (His dads blind and him and his mom work their *** off) . He works for the farmer I lease from and will be hunting across the road from me .

Better yet, and I don't mean to steal thread. Why not post how many stands you have over how many acres. This way we can see what the average of stands guys have on a certain size of land.

I hunt 65 acres which I only got permission on since last year. I have 3 permanent stands, 1 blind and 3 prepared trees for a climber.

I have a total of 11 treestands out between the 3 main properties that i hunt. I do use my climber on occassion. Some of them use to stay out all year but started to take them all down a few years ago.

I like it and don't worry about stealing my thread , that would help understand what everyone's talking about later :tu:

We can hunt 2100 acres (9 farms) but spend most of our time and have most of our stands on 1200 acres or so (5 farms)

110 bow and 10 gun towers on 320 acres of woods. Some I built in the late 70's in cedar/pine trees I still hunt today. We brush out and maintain a rotating 30/year.

1 stand for 12,000 acres. But it's a climber in public land. If I had a farm of my own I would have as many as the wife let me buy.

I have 1 climber with 7 trees prepped for different spots on 112 acres then I have 3 other spots on public land. I really need to do a little more last minute scouting on the 13,000+ acres of public land that's pretty close by.

16 mixture of loc on and ladders on 5000 acres. 90% cut pines very few hardwoods. 1200 acres of the 5000 is public (uncut) but only access is through our gates so its not really public.

I have 4 stands on 20 acres of private land, one for each wind direction. I also have about 6 more trees prepped on 10,000 acres of public land that are ready for Muddy sticks and a Lone Wolf stand.

4 stands and 3 blinds on about 450 acres. Like to have couple more stands or maybe invest in a climber.

    70 fixed stands- a mix of ground blind's, ladders & hang on's - 8 farms - 2700 acres total.

We also all use climbers and locon's to cover the new patterns that develop through out the season.

Ground blinds and set cushions get taken in after the season is over, and put back in as each stand is readied for hunting in fall.

2 ladder stands on 1200 acres I have access to. I will probably put one or two hangers out yet. There are some fairly nice bucks on a piece of land I don't usually hunt. I can only get one tag this year so this few stands should get it done for me. Plus I hunt alone and don't have anyone else using the stands.
