How comfortable is the LW Alpha II? I probably sit 3 to 5 hours at a time. Since the post of the stand is right up against the tree does it cause any discomfort that way? I usually hunt out of ladder stands but want a mobile set up for public land. Given the price of LW I don't want to buy it and not use it. I almost feel obligated to buy one because I bought the sticks last year to help with putting up my ladder stands Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
Buy the comfort seat and use the old one for a back rest against the tree. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Compared to a ladder stand, not all that comfortable. But its a great run and gun set up especially since you already have the sticks. I use them when I need to make a move and hang a set quickly and quietly. It excels in this department.
the seats are not very comfortable compared to others. LWs main benefits are weight, solidity, quietness, and quality. You sacrifice comfort, IMO.
I would have dead quiet over a cushy seat any day. remember a cushy seat will also take forever to dry if it gets wet.
when I'm 185, I love my LW hand climber II. When I get up to 210, I love my XOP with the fat butt seat.
No. I have an older model hang on and had a climber. Neither was comfortable, climber hard to climb with and both gave me a sore back after a few minutes of standing..
I don't have a lone wolf stand but I bought an xop stand. Comfort level isn't the greatest, but it's not the worse either. The cushion that came with mine has seemed to have lost its cushiness. Not sure if there is any difference in LW and XOP seat dimensions but I've thought about trying their slimmer seat cushion and gives it a try. I would recommend the XOP stand especially since they will save you some money. Sent from my SM-T817T using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
