Syrup?

    A good friend of mine said to use corn syrup on a tree stump to attract deer in for trail camera pics.. anyone have some experience with this

    Sounds messy and kind of expensive, I have used grape kool-aid the presweetened and dumped it dry on a stump the rain does the rest.

    buddy of mine used to pour two bottles of the cheap syrup and two canisters of salt out and would get pics for months

    sure, its pretty much what Stump Licker attractant is, and by the gallon its a similar cost. I like the idea of adding salt.

    I tried it but had no luck. Stupid deer don't know what's good for them.

    Molasses or Grape, or Strawberry Jello powder can be smelled a mile away. Deer like the sweet taste.

    around here that only brings in the bears... they love the molasses and sugar mixtures

    100lbs of corn works better than anything you can put sweet on a stump
