I live in Missouri and I am wanting to do a mule deer hunting trip. Does anybody have any recommendations on some places to hunt them with a good success rate? Out of state please. I have ever gone and this is one of my bucket lists.

Look up Rolling 7 Ranch on Facebook! Print has some HUGE muleys and plenty of them, it's insane how many you will see while stalking them through the sand hills. Rolling 7 Ranch Co

I'm also from MO and I go every year!

It was on my bucket list also, until I started checking prices. I'm not going to pay that to hunt anything......

You can hunt a lot of public land in many of the western states without a guide. Worth the money in my book. Give it a look and you'll see it is pretty affordable if you DIY.

I don't know a single person that has been successful on a DIY archery hunt..... I was checking guided hunts, and they are much more than whitetail hunts...

It's been about 5 years since I've hunted Muley's, but my old man and I used to go to Montana every year rifle hunting. I know DIY is a completely different ball game with a rifle compared to a bow, but every year we always had deer well within bow range. I can't for the life of me remember the name of the program that we used but it was through Montana's BLM that had a list of ranchers out there that allowed people to hunt their property for a tax break. The Ranch we used most frequently was Marcusson Ranch in Ekalaka, MT. Hope that helps!

You need to get out and meet more people. All of my hunts are DIY hunts in Oklahoma, Kansas, Wyoming and Texas. I've killed deer in all of those states and usually have opportunities to kill something every year I hunt them. I've taken mule deer, moose, elk, antelope and whitetail in Wyoming and whitetail in the other states. Do your homework and you can make it happen.
