Any one have any experience with hunting club insurance. I have a group of 6 that have hunted together for years. From time to time we switch leases. We are considering buying insurance, but I'm a little leery. Everything I read says we cover these things "and more" but I'm not able to find out what the "more" is.

    Pertaining to what ?
    Property or life ???
Our land and cabin is insured. Not sure what it all intales or covers but I'm sure its very good. My brother works for state farm.

Well- both property and life. From falls from tree stands to a guest shooting a calf to an errant arrow in a tractor.

None of that has ever happened and the guest in the example would never return. Just wondering if anyone has ever seen a benefit of it.

I'm also more interested in policies that cover "us" the hunters regardless of location

I would think of some likely scenarios and then call your local insurance agent to see if you could get any coverage through them or if your current policies would offer any protections.

My leases are through SCI. It covers the members and the farmer.

I find that these insurace involved with hunting is just a money making deal. Besides youve spend so much money on yourself with hunting already.

That isn't specific to hunting. That's with all insurance until you need it... Better have it and not need it and not have it and need it.

I have used davis garvin and you should be able to find them on the net by searching. If not email me at [email protected] and I will give you more detail. Its about >15 per acre and its wise to cover the owneras well for an extra $30. Another one you might ask is email Sean at [email protected]. Yes, its a money making deal but a lot of landowners won't let you lease without it.
