Walked one of my leases yesterday hoping for an early shed....saw 2 nice bucks with both sides still on...but I did find some giant rubs. I quit taking pictures of them after a while. Found at least 30 this size....I'm fired up all over again now!

isn't it funny how we always find those huge rubs after season..

have found several huge ones on my GA farm as well..

I think the DNR does to keep us buying hunting licenses..:lol:

I was lucky enough to hunt stand this year in KS that had very very big rub about 30 yards from it...we had a camera on it and te amount of deer...does and bucks who visited it was amazing. seems like every third deer that went near it would stop and rub its head on it...

I think their heads start itching this late when antlers are beginning to loosen, at least this has always been my theory. Huge rubs showing up here too.

that was signpost or community rub, there are also community scrapes used much the same way and they will often use them year round..

call me crazy but those look like claw marks. This last pic by c_mint is definitely a buck rub.

There are no bears or cats in Indiana. Those are hard sycamore and pine trees..claw like marks were likely made by sticker points
