I hunt in northern illinois and today i had a 2 bucks come in and i was bleating at them and they came to about 50 yards of me and i had a buck decoy up and i grunted at them, and they slowly trotted and walked away. I don't know why it has happened before, i descent all my cloth and gear and the wind was in my favor. Can anyone tell me why this is happening, and perhaps give me some calling tips for this time of year.
Can people please respond i need to know, thanks.

Just because you call doesn't mean it will work. Even if done right. Your dealing with nature.

very true i don't know i call at deer a lot and it seems they either don't pay any attention or they slowly run off as if something is wrong. But you do make a valid point thanks

I've never had much success with grunting this late in the season but the buck roar has brought in a lot of bucks for me . With the 2nd rut kicking in it would be my go to call .
