Just wondering how many of you would shoot a doe right now. I've passed on a few because of the fact that bucks are changing and breeding. But im getting itchy to put one down.

Ya I figure why not. Harvested one friday and will be on the hunt for one Wednesday. I already shot a nice buck by my standards and like to fill the freezer before it gets too terribly cold. Granted if they come in around last light, I will

Computer froze.... Granted if they come in around last light, I will wait until my comfort level is being pushed before I take a shot. Just in case something else walks in.

I will shoot a doe for the meat later in the season when I haven't had a chance at a buck. Been a slow season so far... so i will probably end up shooting a doe soon

Depends, this year I had taken two doe the first two weekends. So I just kept holding off for a buck. Finally got my buck, now I can go back to shooting does

I'm trying right now. Already filled my buck tag but have a few "doe reduction" tags left.

I would, but there are an abundant amount of does on the land I hunt.

My philosophy...they taste just as good, maybe better. On my property that I hunt on weekends I usually pass on the does, but in the Upper Peninsula, Michigan we ask local hunters (management types) and DNR how many does they think would be sufficient, and we usually hit that number.

i only shoot does in or near a feeding area when bucks are chasing. i try not to disturb any doe travel routes.

I would never consider shooting a doe until after the buck tag is filled.

I'm a newer hunter and I'd shoot one for the meat. My family could use one and I could use the field dressing practice.
