I checked a camera last night and had pics of a great buck...only half his rack is broken off! Curious to know how many would still shoot him with half a rack.

Here in Texas, yes. I only got two bucks in my county. One has to have an inner spread of 13 inch or greater and one has to have at least one unbranched antler. So he would be going down for me.

I would pass, most people wouldn't shoot him so he should make it through the season and he'll be bigger next year!

I had a buck on my camera this summer, it was a half rack five point. If I saw him again I would shoot him. So yes.

I'd pass him. Nice looking buck, too bad he doesn't have the other side!

    What he said.
Wait for a bigger, prettier buck(you never know what will show up during the rut) or a yummy doe.

I would pass him so he can be that much better next year. If I needed meat then I would shoot him though. If not then hes walking

Shoot whatever makes you happy. If you want my opinion tho, I'd pass on him even if he wasnt broke off. Young deer

Lot of potential in that buck ... If he's a trophy for you by all means take him

For me it depends on what other bucks you are seeing and how close your neighbors are and are they going to shoot him if you don't. If he's not going to make it through the season and you don't have a lot of other options put him in the freezer!

I would let him walk. Next year he will have the other half of 10. Or at least he will start out with it. Lol. Young deer and has lots of potential to be the trophy everyone wants.
