is anyone seeing any rutting behavoir in MA yet? im in central MA havent see anything but a co worker rattled up 2 decent bucks a few days ago so i was just wondering
The 1.5-2.5 year olds are cruising later in the morning (9-10am) big boys are still nocturnal for a few more weeks. I'm hoping it hits the 2nd week of november like usual, so i can nail it when i get back from Illinois.
Nothing solid yet man but I am heading out tomorrow so I will update you if I see anything. I'm in Z8 so probably pretty close to you. hopefully I can catch one on his feet tomorrow
opening day i seen a bunch of spikes and forks some does but nothing in rutting mode and nothing in bow range nice im also hunting zone 8 i wont get out till monday. wish we could hunt sundays thats what i thought i saved up some vacation time this year to try and hit the rut
In RI I have seen a few scrapes pop up and some rubs. I am thinking the rut will be full force second week of November. The full moon is the 6th so any time after it should be full swing.
Just got back in from my sit today, didn't see anything it was a slow day surprisingly. I anticipated a lot of action after the rain but that's how it goes.
Im gonna start hunting my honey hole next week. Hopefully get one down I think we are deff getting close to the breaking up od bachleor groups and the rut will b here im gonna say 2nd weekend in November may b 3rd. Fun times to be out in the woods

We all need to do some sort of voodoo cold weather dance man, almost 70 degrees the next few days is the opposite of what we want/need.
i frroze in the morning and was sweating in the afternoon. but i did see a big scrape line some good rubs also they are getting rutty in rutland
no nothing decent and nothing in range but this place in Paxton/Rutland is all torn up rubs scrapes everywhere You see anything?
