I'll being doing this on every outing I do to report the rutting activity I see in the spots I hunt.

Jefferson Co. Scrapes are being formed, bucks are starting to spar pretty hard. Young bucks are dogging does.

Trempealeau Co. Scrapes are being checked on main trails being checked regularly. Small bucks are dogging does, daylight buck activity is starting to increase.

Your best bet would be the first and or second weekend in November.

I've gotten 3 New bucks on cam in the past couple weeks. One was a mature buck in day light so I'm hoping they are starting to move and expand their range a bit. Few small scrapes and no rubs found yet.

Plenty of does and fawns on the move eating brassicas in Iola this weekend. Both nights we saw 1 buck that seemed to come out of thick cover for a look after we rattled a little bit.

Kewaunee, I have not seen an antler since opening week. Just set up some mock scrapes Friday but didn't see any natural scrapes or rubs yet. Not uncommon for my land. Oct 25 is the start year after year.

Grant County: Just starting some scrape activity, typically last few days of October we will start seeing some chasing. Year after year it seems the same here.

I wipped up two mock scrapes this week and one was roughed up by a nice 9 ptr monday night at 8 pm. He also made a scrape of his own 50 yards away. These are every year slots being worked.
Last night my dad had a small 6 at 20 yards and I had a buck grunt back at me in some this stuff and then it sounded like a chase for a few minutes. Its definately starting to pick up.

Seeing scrapes but no rubs in northeastern Trempealeau county. Finally have a couple of bucks in daylight hours on cams. I'll be back up next week to get another look.

Last night had a small 4 on camera at close and a six at 730. Sat there this morning and passed numerous chip shots on the 6 at 7 am. Also had a small buck in a foodplot 200 Yards away at 730 this morning. Its slowly starting.

The only thing I've seen on cam the past 2 weeks is small bucks and they have been between 7-8 in the morning. Haven't seen anything from the stand. Early October I was seeing smaller ones regularly.

Barron County is really shaping up NICE.

Probably 85% of the leaves have fallen, tonight I saw another 4 FRESH scrapes.
Plus, I saw the HEAVY 8 who probably made them...couldn't get a shot at him.

    Trying again in the AM.
    GOOD LUCK,
    MOBU

Waupaca county. Found first scrapes of the year in Fremont yesterday. Also saw a small buck in a picked bean field during daylight hours.
