My son and daughter were hunting in Wisconsin for the Wisconsin youth deer season this past Saturday and Sunday. I was sitting with my daughter to help her get her gun ready and with anything else she might need. A good friend was filming it. We had a couple of fawns and a small buck come in and hang out for a while. Just after 6 a 8 pointer came in. It took a while before he was in position for the shot. I am not sure what happened on the first shot but she shot in front of him at 100 yards with her 20 gauge slug gun. He jumped up ran a few feet and started to walk directly away from us. I told her to get ready when he turned and at 120 yards he turned and she shot him right behind the shoulder. She was pretty steady until after the shot and was really excited then. This is a feeling I don't think I could ever get tired of watching the excitement my kids get after a successful hunt. Here is a picture from yesterday and I will post up some footage when I go through it.
That's awesome! Hope to do this with my daughter when she gets older. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I cannot wait to experience this with my son (1) and daughter (3). My 3 year old daughter already goes scouting and cam checking with me. She loves it already
Tom was this the picture that BCO on face book? I thought that might be your daughter based on the vest! Congrats to you both! Great deer!
