Well got my first bow kill a month into my first season of being serious about it...The doe and spike came out around 100 yards down from me and followed a little scent trail of Tink's hot shot i put down when walking in...The spike went into the corn at 25 yards and then I took a shot at the doe at 40...She jumped the string, ran about 10 yards and then started walking back. She got to 35 yards and didn't jump the string the second time. Put it right behind her shoulder and she expired about 70 yards away. Far from my first deer kill but was the first with a compound bow and needless to say I'm hooked. First time I ever got a lease and first time ive shot a deer with a bow so needless to say im very happy. Nothing like putting in hard work on your own piece of property and having it pay off...Now just to get after the 8 point I have on my camera...
Nice job... nothing as rewarding as taking a deer with your bow... congrats on your first and here's to many more to come!
Nicely done. Its rewarding to take game with a real bow and arrow and all the challenges of getting off a shot. You will be hooked forever.
