Mo X-Bow Kill

    Got my 1st crossbow kill last Saturday evening 9/20. Shot from the ground at 15 yards. He traveled only 50 yards after the shot.

    Very nice! Must have been a head on shot and very nice placement on the shot might I add. Very nice, Congrats!!

    You are correct. He was looking straight at me when I shot.

    Congrats on the buck, but that was a poor shot choice with a bow/CB. You got lucky. There's no future in shooting at alert deer.

    I agree it is not ideal or recommended. I would not have taken the shot with a vertical bow. In my case I had a clear 15 yard shot to the vitals. The bolt went completely inside the deer which traveled only 50 yards and was dead in less than 5 minutes.

    Don't pass blame to the shooter unless you know more about the shot. The frontal shot is insanely lethal.

    Not with my doc. I had been dealing with shoulder problems for awhile

    How? I tought doc was the only means to use the x bow until next season here in mo.

    Not sure how it works, I am going to have surgery in the next few monthes and I don't know whats going to happen after that.long road
