I need this buck's age!!!!

The belly is not that big, the neck/shoulders look young to me???

 

Ima say three. Three and a half

 

Hard to tell from that angle, but I think maybe 4.5.

 

That buck is at least 4.5 maybe a bit older. Look at the up slope of the roman nose. Also take a look how its hind quarters sway into his mid section.

 

I won't attempt to age from that photo alone....too many things to consider that aren't shown fully here.

 

Well for central, IL and off a small property, I guess I will have to take him, if given a shot. A 12 pointer that I would guess was a brother or father to this guy was taken a half mile down the creek at sundown on the last day of gun season last year. Hard to manage a small property with hunters on all sides.

 

Provide a profile pic with most of the body and neck visible and folks can more reliably age.

Not enough to go on. Could just be 3.5, could be older.

 

Hard to say, but I think older, just going on how broad a neck he's packing that early in the season and the sway back.
Looks like a really nice buck to me

Thanks for the help, most people have said between 3 1/2 to 4 1/2, but where he is, there is little chance he will get past the gun hunters another year. If I get a shot with my Mathews, he is going down!

Will agree but unless youre hunting on (hadley creek) example. This deer isnt a 3 yr old. Just by going by this picture, id say at least 4.5 yr old
