I recently have seen a major increase in coyotes on my deer hunting property in northern Illinois. I was wondering if I should get out there and try to thin out the population or should I let them be for now because it's so close to deer season. Should I hope for the best and wait until deer season is over?
    Thanks for the opinions/advice!

I take them out whenever possible. Usually stay in low impact areas and try calling them in.

I too have seen a increase of coyotes and a few bobcats a few weeks after planting my food plot, been keeping the deer at bay. My property is a hour away so I am thinking of going with the snares, maybe try my hand at hunting the predators too, but don't want to spend a lot of money on it. If anyones got some advise I would like to hear from you.
