Just thought everyone would love to read the story of one of our own's 2013 hunts! As with all of mine or the other ones you'll find on Small Acre Hunting, Finny's took place on basically a 5 acre property, proving yet again if hunted appropriately small acres can produce for sure! Awesome story and buck...congrats again Finny...nothing like reading a hunting story to get all of us even more pumped for the upcoming season!

    Story with pictures is HERE

Pretty sure Sota is talking about the Monster Raxx bag in front of the deer.

That and the bow and broadhead used, don't get me wrong but acting like TV hunters has wrecked hunting.

May have ruined it for you, if someone wants to promote a product they feel helps with their success I say good for them. Doesn't change hunting.

The trail cams were DLC Covert, I had on predator camo, I had a primos grunt call, I was shooting Easton Arrows, wearing LaCrosse boots, .... :fro:

Sota you bring up a feeling a lot of guys sometimes have and there are times where I get it and understand the distaste it can put in the mouths of hunters watching people swear about or think only with product "x" the hunt would have had a happy ending....however when someone is describing a story in the depth and length as Finny did or some others it is just part of fleshing out the story. NO one is attempting to be a professional at Small Acre Hunting, nor is any of the guys that I've spotlighted for success stories. I don't get any checks or sponsoship money from Covert or Monsterraxx but back their products on my site because I 100% believe in their product lines....by doing so I've naturally come to know or met guys with similar tastes like Finny. Sure he mentions some brands in his write up...but not in an in your face kind of way or even mildly pushy kind of way. Sad fact is if he doesn't mentioned names he would get asked what brands more than likely.

Hunters are curious by nature and we love to see what works for other people, hence the infatuation with products. When describing a hunt every detail helps flesh out the story's skeletal structure more and make it feel more authentic. If that truly does make you feel as though he is "wrecking" hunting or leaving a bad taste in your mouth about it I probably wouldn't log onto any hunting forums, read any hunting magazines or linger for too long at any local archery or sporting goods store.

wanna be TV hunter? That's great I have no affiliation with Mathews, NAP, or Lone Wolf they are products I use as a consumer that I believe in. Hell without the LW I wouldn't have been able to get in that tree.

If you are not sponsored why drop the names of the products used, let your efforts and success stand on it's own.

It came natural I wasn't plugging I love my bow, without that stand I wouldn't have been able to get a stand in that island, the Killzone did it's job.

There is a difference between being a happy consumer and being sponsored.

I find it amusing your so butt hurt over this.
