Is the scout outlook app. a good app. to own? I just bought it and hope I didn't waist the $2 for it. Not much in money but hate to through away my money on dumb things.

I use it too look at the wind direction. It is fairly accurate.

I use the markers and the scent cone but what else can it do?

It gives pretty detailed weather forecasts. You can bust it for fishing with your drift points. I have never used it fishing.

I use the scent cone feature every time I hunt. I even use it scouting instead of carrying a map around. It gives me a fairly good satellite image of my nearby surroundings as I walk around.

Yep I was out scouting the other day and saw some deer work there way out into a field so I pulled up my app and marked a point on there reminding me of where the were and you can make notes in the description too which is nice.

Also like others have said during the season the scene cone thing works out nice and you can mark you stand locations and get an idea of what the wind is like in that spot for the day.

I haven't looked at this app but I will.

I used Google My Tracks to scout a property, it laid down where I had been and allowed me to pin different things.

i use it like the others have mentioned. One thing that wasn't mentioned, is you can pull all of this up on your PC as well. Makes it a little quicker to check a bunch of different stand locations as far as weather/scent cone if you aren't sure which one to hunt that day.

    I love it!

I have all our bow stands tagged on there as well as potential locations we may hang a stand.

Wake up in the morning, check the scent cone and then make a decision on where to hunt from that information

It's a pretty neat app and site. It can be really helpful if there are multiple people hunting with you since you can share camps. I've used it off and on. Being that I hunt alone mostly, I just use MotionX GPS app and Google Earth.

Ive used it since it came out. Works for me & I usually don't hunt without checking it.

I use the website for free but not the app. Great for wind but it also gives you sunrise/set and moonrise/set...I don't know if their peak game movement times are based on any real data but I will check it.
