I would think the Summit stands would be good for a big guy. They have a big platform and very comfortable seat. I have one and I love hunting out of it, but I don't like packing it in the woods, or setting it up on the tree, both can be cumbersome and noisy.

I have a Lone Wolf Wide Sit & Climb 2. It is made for us bigger guys :) It is very comfortable. I have a small issue with heights so I wanted something that I knew I would be safe in. 2nd time I used this, I fell asleep in it. I also got my first bow kill out of it. It isn't too cumbersome and it's not that heavy either. Only downside is the price but with something like this, you get what you pay for.

Summit, Lone wolf. I would stay away from the gorilla climbers, not because they are bad but because they are a little small in the way the seat sits. All in all those three brands are very good, and very solid.

I'm a big guy as well. I use the Summit Titan. It has the biggest top section and platform that Summit makes. It is rock solid and very comfortable. The only downside is it is a bit bulkier because of the extra room and it weighs 25 lbs.

I just hooked up on two one for me and one for my son(birthday and x mass) I got him a used summit Razor (300lbsmax)for the open front. I gave it a try and it is fine but snug I picked up a lone wolf wide(350 max) for me I wanted the extra # I go 225/240 then gear. I mostly use ladder stands but wanted something portable to expand my range

Summit makes a stand called the Goliath. It's rated up to 350lbs. and only weighs in at 21lbs. I've checked one of these stands out and believe I will have one before season opens. My old stand is pushing 10 years old and is in need of replacement.

I have the LW Wide sit and climb (which was created by the same designer/ is pretty much the exact same design), and I believe the main difference is that the LW is made in the USA. Not sure where the XOP stands are made, but usually companies advertise it if it is made in the USA. The LW is quite comfortable to use, but you are limited to only straight trees. If you are set on the climber route, it is rock solid, the climbing/ sit bar that moves out of the way is a HUGE plus for bowhunting, and the stand is extremely quiet once you are up in the tree. Plus it is rated to 350 lbs. For me I am trying out a LW alpha and sticks this year. If I like that set up then I am going to probably end up selling my climber.

Not to my knowledge, they are brand new. Same inventor of the LW bought his patent back and is making XOP stands now.

Im a big guy myself (6'4" 260 with a light breakfast) and I love my summit viper, good room and it always feels safe and stable. You can also go with the Goliath or other larger models for a little more room. Lone Wolf is also a quality stand... but Summit is my preference.

Rutin, time to call you BS out. You already tried pushing xop stands on another thread and were schooled that there was NO buying back any patent. Give it up....we get it...you work for xop or are a pro staffer.

I am 6'4" and weigh 275 lbs. I have a Summit Viper and a Grand Ol' Man. Both of them work well. The summit is the most comfortable.

I bought a TimberTall at the outdoor show in harrisburg. Little pricy, but light as hell and a local family owned company.

I have a Summit Goliath and it's a really good stand. Don't think you could go wrong with it or the Lone Wolf.
