Well for me down here in Maryland I have 2 months, 9 days and 7 hours until I will be making my way into the woods on opening morning. I am just curious to what you all have been doing to get ready and what your goals for this season are...
So far i've been planning on where to put food plots and what kind of food plot they will be, Hanging a few stands, scouting some public land for oppurtunites closer to school, and tomorrow morning im going out and banging on a few doors to try to pull another lease together.
As for my goals...I want to put at least 3 does on the ground as well as 1 P&Y quality buck, Id also ideally like to be tagged out by November 29th when the orange army enters the woods.
This is my first post on these forums and I look forward to meeting you guys and hearing about what your plans for this year are!

My Plan for this fall is to get my buddy a doe and shoot a buck with my bow. If that fails I will have to settle for getting a buck with my shot gun. If that fails starting in December I will probably start shooting at does with my bow too.

Try like hell to kill a 130ish deer in the first 2 weeks of the season. I will be doing absolutely nothing but hunting from the 5th-20h.

Where are you hunting in MD?

I am not a trophy hunter in my local area.. Hunting is hard and I take what I legally can. Generally bashed for this on most forums, but it is what it is.
If I travel out of state on a hunt though, I do adhere to all of the landowners QDMA standards.

#1. Get my cousin his first deer. #2 take my first P & Y shooter buck. Still need to move a couple of stands and finish food plots and get trail cameras out.
