I drove a Honda Pioneer 700 Honda today and I wasn't very impressed. It was too small for me for one thing and it shook pretty hard at idle. Also putting it in drive then reverse was hard to do. The salesman said that they all are that way, just the nature of it. It was a used one with only 15 miles on it. Said the people that bought it said it was too wide for their purpose. I am going to try a Yamaha Viking. What is anyone's thought on the Pioneer and any experience with the Yamaha Viking. Thanks!!

We have a Honda Pioneer... Ours does the exact same thing as yours, shifts very hard.

It's both hard to shift into gear, and also shifts gears tough. We don't have many miles on it at all though and did some research, it should get better the more miles we put on.

We just picked one up last week. It went from drive into neutral hard the first few times out and now it's nice and smooth. It does downshift a bit hard, but it's kind of nice when going downhill or approaching a pasture gate. I'm pretty impressed with the machine so far. As far as the rattling is concerned it's probably the doors. There's adjustable rubber bumpers where the latch is, back those out so it seals tighter and the rattling is gone.
