My buddy from Southern Iowa sent me this picture. One of his cameras flashed this early last fall. I've been going down their to shoot Turkey's the last couple years, and after I saw this.. I ran to go start putting in for my Deer Archery Tag!!
Pretty cool pic, had one similar last fall and was one of the ones I saved. Bucks I had wasn't as impressive though ha.
Looks like a sanctuary! But I would verify it with another trail cam picture before running out there, because you don't know what the past season took out.
Yeah, It takes a couple years to get the license anyways. But I do plan on making a trip down their in the next couple years to hunt Whitetail, but I will be down their this spring chasing Gobblers!
Seems Iowa has some great deer these days. I am going to have to do a road trip we have a 190 ac farm 15 miles from the Iowa/mo boarder that was just purchased last month.
I would like to get a few pics like that this year! Its been a pretty dry couple of years for trail cam pics and also big bucks shot... I ordered some monster raxx and hopefully that will boost the racks out there! Id even be happy if the mineral sites made the 2 1/2 year old bucks worth a second look with the binocs!
