Have you ever wondered why didn't I think of that? Maybe some of you guys can share things you do when you hunt that others may not do. I.e. instead of buying a bow hanger, I just wrap a tree step in tape and hang my bow on it.what's some innovative ideas you have come up with? Sent from my Milestone X2 using Tapatalk 2
I use a two man ladder stand. I just have a couple pieces of #9 wirer on the sides to hang my bow and back pack.
I made a strap that I use to hold my climber together, I sewed a Double J hook on it. I use that to hang my pack. If anyone would like one message me for details. Brandon T. www.cajuntiedowns.com
I have a floormat I keep in the back of my truck. I use it to stand on when I am changing into my hunting gear.
Old arrow shafts are amazingly strong. So long as I have a piece more than a few inches long, I square up the opposite end, drill a hole on an angle in a scrap piece of 2x4, and 2 small holes at the top. Bungee around a tree and the bungee hooks into the holes.
I liked the peanut butter jar secured into the tree concept, but didn't like how squirrels and raccoons could eat it all and leave nothing for the deer. So now I secure a 2x4 block on the top of a shepherds hook and screw up to 4 peanut butter lids to the wood block. Then I stick the shepherds hook into the ground away from trees that squirrels or raccoons could jump on it. And now that the peanut butter is 4-5 ft up in the air, only the deer get the tasty treat.
Store my hunting boots in the empty bag of feed corn. Buy the cheap $2 black rubber coated ladder hooks from Home Depot that they sell for organizing your garage for a bow hook.
I tricked out my cheap Plano bow case to hold two Plano plastic tackle boxes (removable). Now I can keep my archery box at home ‘cause I have plenty of room for extra nocks, broadheads, glue, allen wrench set, inserts, etc. I also used some ¼” scrap wood, dowel pins, and Velcro (the cable management strips) to hold my quiver in the case.
