Last night I was at the Eau Claire WI Whitetails Unlimited banquet and was lucky enough to win one of the sponsor's guns :) I won the value of a Browning X bolt .270. I have to go to the store and can pick out any gun in there and use the value of that gun towards it. My son and daughter went with me and I told my daughter that if we were lucky enough to win a gun we would get her a rifle. So I think I am going to get her the same Tikka .270 that I got my son last year. She was pretty excited when they called us.

Nice! My dad went to our local NWTF banquet a couple weeks ago and won a .17 Henry Golden Boy. Can't wait to shoot it when I get back to IL. We've had pretty good luck over the years at DU/NWTF/Whitetails Unlimited banquets with winning guns and even a Mathews solocam back when they first came out. Congrats!

Those events are great! My wife has won (me) two shotguns at consecutive DU events. I sold the Remington 870 but I am keeping the Stoeger 3500.

Congrats on the win! I went to RMEF dinner a couple years ago and took the wife. I was in a big draw of 20 items and won 1 of them! I went up to claim my prize and it was a huge diamond necklace. So when I got back to the table, I just handed to the wife. Then a year later I had to pay the taxes on it. That's just my luck!

That's awesome, congrats! I like .270s, they make great hand-me-down rifles. When I still rifle hunted in PA, the small town near our cabin had a gun raffle the night before opening day gun season and my grandpa and great uncle won a few times, always made for a bit of pre-hunt excitement.

My brother just got an email today. He was first pick on a big DU raffle! Not sure which one he picked though.

    Lucky bastards :tu:

I bought my fiance a 25-06 from TreeHopper and she loves it. And the beauty is that they are so versatile. Think there are loads from 75 gr up to 120 gr, so it can grow with her as she grows and they still have plenty of knockout power.

Congrats! My husband just bought a Browning Xbolt WSM 270. He said it's a very nice gun with little recoil.
