Snowed last night but it is all melted windy and cold and what did I feel crawling up my back? A deer tick, I went out to feed the deer walked a total of a 1/2 mile. I hate those little evil creatures.

I know I got bit twice in a week and got treated early and still wore a hoodie all summer because I was cold, I hate to admit it's the only thing that has ever scared me in the woods.

I had one attached a couple weeks ago. It was only there for a few hours but the spot swelled up and itched like heck for a few days. I think I'm allergic to tick bites which is a good thing I guess because I start to itch real bad pretty quick after those little demons attach so they don't usually stay on me long.
    I freaking HATE ticks.

One of those little bastards has made my life miserable for the last year! Damn Lyme Disease...... My doctor said it could take up to 3 years for me to get completely better since we caught it pretty late. I spray all my outdoor clothes with permethrin now.

A farmer that I run a rootworm trial at his place is having a hell of a time yet after getting bit last spring. Feel bad for the guy.
