So they finally listened to their followers and are offering a single stack compact 9mm. I'm out of town today but will be visiting the local gun store when I get home this weekend to place an early order for one.

My Glock 19 is about the most perfect carry gun I could want but in the summer it's nice to have something smaller to conceal with a t-shirt and shorts.

For anyone local that is interested I've got a very nice Sig P238 Rosewood Edition that will come with a Crossbreed IWB holster and several hundred rounds of FMJ ammo and enough Gold Dots to carry for many years. I'll be unloading as soon as I can find a buyer since I won't need it anymore. I'd prefer to sell locally, if you are interested send me a message.

Definitely going to take a look at it. I want to compare it to the LC9.

I was looking into getting the 42 for my wife but I may have to rethink that and get 2 43's! I love my 29 10mm but it isn't the easiest to conceal in summer attire. And I just want another Glock!

It's AWESOME!!!! I weigh 140 and stand at 5'8" and conceal it just fine at my 5 o'clock position. And it's destroys stuff!

May haveta take a look at this one, I've got a shield now but have always leaned more toward glocks. Looks like only thing that will be less is capacity.

Just left the gun store. Put a deposit down and did paperwork. They are saying it should be there by mid April.

They didn't give me exact price. MSRP is $589 but they felt it would most likely be priced at $499 in their store.

I'm definitely not a Glock fan, but they look like a pretty slick carry pistol. I have a Shield currently, but I'm pretty partial to 1911s. My next carry pistol will be a smaller scale 1911, most likely another Para.

For anyone interested, I got my Glock 43 today. Perfect timing as I took a half day at work and got the call just after I had left.

Overall I'm very happy with the gun and I'll be carrying this anytime I can't comfortably conceal my 19.

I put about 120 rounds of 115gr Winchester ball ammo through it today along with 40 rounds of regular 124gr Gold Dots and another 40 rounds of +P 124gr Gold Dots. Not a single malfunction and the gun is as accurate as you can expect for a pocket sized 9mm. At 21ft I can pretty easily keep them in a baseball sized group and can go about half that if I really pay attention.

I will say that while recoil is manageable, it does bark quite a bit more than my 19. I have average sized hands and the gun does shift in my thumbs forward grip when shooting. That doesn't happen with my 19 or my Sig P238. I didn't see a noticeable difference in recoil between the 115, 124, or 124+P loads so I'll be carrying the +P's like I do in my 19.

Everything else about the gun is exactly what you would expect for a Glock. Trigger feels just like my 19, it comes apart just like a 19, the trigger reset is just like a 19, etc. I will say that the trigger is light years better than any other striker fired compact that I've felt, I hate the soft mushy trigger on most other compact pistols.

I pre-ordered a Crossbreed MiniTuck a few weeks ago and carried in it all afternoon. It's a LOT more comfortable than wearing my 19 in a SuperTuck just based on the reduced width. With a t-shirt and shorts the gun conceals easily and doesn't print.

I did install a set of Talon rubber grips on it tonight to aid in getting some extra purchase on it. I'm anxious to shoot it again to see how this helps, but just handling it in the house it feels a lot better. I also had a set of Trijicon HD's installed tonight, I love everything Glock but their stock sights just don't do it for me.

A few pics for those interested. The last two are comparing to a Glock 19 for size comparison.

They are just hair bigger than the 42's and I have always said I'd get one however in the meantime I've shot the Kahr offering in CW9 (NOT THE CM9)...and I keep trying to hate it but I can't....not sure which I'm going to lean with. We're adding the 43 to the rental program at the range I work part time at and I fully expect to run some boxes through it.

I am waiting on mine, not sure where will fit as I need another EDC like I need a hole in my head. Nothing has displaced my p238 today...we will see.

One thing for sure is this will be a huge seller for them, the only thing that stopped me from the 42 ...is well it's a .380 and that was reason enough.
