Bank robber 15 years ago, then stole a frenchman's identity, only to violate the terms of his probation which included an active warrant. Struggled for a gun and the gun jammed as a result.

So fast is our media to condemn. So damn fast. Next thing we will see is the guy actually had been walking around with his hands up for hours while peacefully chanting.

The homeless man fatally shot by Los Angeles police officers in a Sunday confrontation was living in the United States under the assumed identity of a French national, authorities told ABC News Tuesday.
The LAPD had identified the man as Charley Saturmin Robinet, a convicted bank robber who carried a French passport.
But Astrid le Moine, Press Attaché for the Consulate General of France in Los Angeles, said the French consulate later notified police of the usage of the stolen identity.
Arnaud Guillois, the press counselor at the French Embassy in Washington, told ABC News that the homeless man killed on Skid Row "is not French." French officials do not know the man's nationality at this time, Guillois said.
A call to the LAPD Tuesday seeking comment wasn't immediately returned.

What We Know About the Man Shot by LAPD Officers on Skid Row
Court documents confirm that the man who used the name Charley Saturmin Robinet was released from federal prison on May 12, 2014 after serving 14 years in prison. According to the Associated Press, the 2000 incident involved Robinet holding up a Wells Fargo to steal money to pay for acting classes.
A law enforcement source confirmed to ABC News that Robinet was 39 at the time of his death.
A 2005 court document notes that a state psychiatrist examined him and determined that he had a "mental disorder or defect" but it was unclear if he received treatment.

The whole Black lives matter doesn't matter as much considering how many black men are killed by their brothers.

A great majority of the people on skid row want to be on skid row. Drug addiction, mental heath issues, the cure doesn't take for many of these people.

Your going to have a skid row no matter what, there are people that do not want help and there is nothing you cando. The major problem I see here is the media is race baiting the whole country and the ones who are going to suffer the most from this irresponsible journalism is the police.

The punishment should fit the crime right.

Va here is a question with the 2nd amendment guys on the street with there AR's doing a open carry March what if they were black or Hispanic? #keep it 100

I don't believe there was one person on here that said open carrying AR's and looking for confrontations was either smart or appropriate. Doesn't matter what the skin color is.

This post is about this LA "poor homeless guy" thing, not any rock throwing thing. By the way, I am about doing what is right. If a cop is wrong, a cop is wrong and should be punished. However, lets stop falling hook, line, and sinker when a media source reports some cops just shot a poor old homeless guy for no reason. People are using cops as scapegoats for all their damn problems. Communities blaming cops for all their problems is embarrassing and is predictable.

Here is the rock throwing video:

whatever the guy did in the past or what he was doing when cops arrived did not warrant them shooting him to death...

The police need more training when it comes to dealing with homeless and mentally disables folks and Dogs...

like others said it is a tough job that takes split second decisions, but those decisions are not always right.

like the cops that shot the homeless man dead in AZ.. Those officers are now paying for their decision.

It is going to get to the point where cops are not going to bother policing the skid rows and low income minority neighborhoods. They have fractions of seconds to make decisions that will decide if they will go home to their families, helping people who resent them, and hardly getting rich while doing it. I am so sick and tired of people jumping to conclusions anytime the cops shoot someone. I am not the biggest fan of cops but this is getting old.

I guess you're innocent until proven guilty unless you are a cop. Everyone and his brother investigated that Ferguson incident and no one could find any evidence that the officer did wrong. Even Obama's toady Holder. If there's a crime then prosecute it. I haven't heard any apology to the Ferguson officer or the business owners who lost there livelyhood. Two body cameras and a cell phone video and I'll bet there was no evidence here either but that doesn't stop people with an agenda or bias to ignore the truth.

Criminals put themselves in these situations. Every violent criminal out there could be put down like a rabid dog and I would applaud it. But that can't happen because too many people care more about the rights of those that murder, steal, and rape than the cops that try to stop them. I'm just glad another POS criminal won't be sucking taxpayer money while they sit in prison for 30 years.

There is always one common denominator with these things. EVERY situation like this could easily be resolved in a couple ways. #1 Don't do anything wrong to bring the police to you in the first place. #2 if you have done something wrong to warrant having an officer approach you? Do what you're told to do. Cops don't just run around slinging bullets at every traffic stop. I feel no pity for people that make THEIR choice to put themselves in that position. Then blame everyone else in the world when it doesnt' go according to plan.

Yeah, I keep up with his vids fairly regularly, he generally has ample amounts of common sense and liberals hate it, lol. I saw this one and immediately thought of this thread.
