Why not add another debate? Would you, did you consider a home birth or delivery outside of a hospital?
I'll try my damndest to get my future wife to the hospital for delivery. So much can go wrong without professionals there.
In the hospital, no question about it. Although it could have been otherwise since I delivered both our daughters about an hour and a half after my water broke. When I mention that to women who have spent 30+ hours in labor, they instantly hate me.
I don't have any kids. But, I'm wondering how someone could live with them self if something was to go wrong with a home birth? Especially if it were due to a complication which is regularly handled with little issue in a hospital setting? The umbilical cord was wrapped around my neck during delivery which the doctor handled without a problem. I wonder what that result might have been during a home birth?
I tried to talk my wife into biting a stick in the bathtub while I performed the delivery..... She wouldn't do it... Still don't understand why How is momma and baby doin?
Sure, think of all the money you'd save, even with good insurance that is an EASY extra out of state hunting trip!!!
This is actually a fairly common occurrence, and apparently easy to remedy. I guess it's rare to have any complications with it even when left alone.
I could add a few more if desired. No, I agree with Hook. I would want the safest place for mom and baby and that is the hospital.
My daughter's birth cost me $25...? Just the hospital bill...not all the other stuff that comes with having a kid
Your ins must be better than mine lol although my wife had to have a c-section on all of our children. I got a nice bill...
My wife had a c-section... Had to stay in the hospital for 5 days. But you are right, we have excellent insurance.
If I known this I wouldn't never have gotten my vasectomy. It would be a sheep hunt a year for me!! No way I would have stopped at two children!!
My girlfriend and I are expecting a girl in late June. Having babies is definitely a young woman's game. People have been having babies for a very long time, but since my gf is 38 we'll be having ours at a hospital.
