So the Buffalo Schools want to have condoms available for students upon request. Of course the parents will not know when their child takes them.... I'm at a loss.....
Lol, I don't see anything wrong with it. I was "active" in high school, this would have made things easier...
Here's the story... http://www.wgrz.com/story/news/local/2014/10/02/condoms-buffalo-high-school/16606467/ Your mind set scares the Hell out of me....
100 %.... all you had to do was ask the health teacher form some. Heck... i remember getting some from him and going straight to the base ball field with random girls during school for some fun in the dugout.... Jr. High was great...
Tony, kids have been having sex in high school since... well since high school was invented. When my great grandparents were around, girls often married by 13-15 yo. Acting like newer generations reinvented the wheel on this is pretty naive. A good poll to accompany this opinion would be how many among us graduated HS a virgin. It's the brutal truth, always has been always will be.
Kids are going to have sex, there's not really any way around it. Might as well make it easy to have safe, protected sex. Your article even said that 44% of students are sexually active, and 35% of those did not use protection. Why wouldn't you want to lower that number? Edit- Trevor pretty much said what I was saying...
You don't see anything wrong with your 14 year old daughter grabbing condoms from school to ride her boyfriend? Don't you think the schools should StAy away from this stuff instead of promoting it?
I have no problem with it. Yeah I'm sure almost all parents would want their kids to wait but let's be honest there's no way of stopping them if that's what they want to do. Unless of course you lock them in their room until college.
Like said, kids are going to have sex either way. Might as well have easy access to protection. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
If she is going to be having sex and there is no stopping her, then I will buy the damn things for her. As far as the school goes, I don't think ignoring it is the thing to do if there are lots of teenage pregnancies.
Maybe parents should raise their daughters in a way so they will know not to "ride" their boyfriends at such a young age.
It's not about kids having sex.... My point is the school should not promote it... They shod Stay out of it....there are many parents tryi,g to raise their children to wait...the schools undermine that....they increase the peer pressure as they make those kids that have been taught "right" to feel odd or nerdy....
But what about the parents that don't teach those values to their kids? If they choose to have sex, they might not care if they use protection or not. Why not make them readily available for those kids? Then rely on the parents of the other kids to mold them into the kid they want them to be.
