This question could go different ways... My favorite has nothing to with with the nicest vehicle but rather the funnest... Yours could be different. 1990 5.7L 1500 single cab shortbed z71 4x4. I had so much fun in that truck. I had a nice lift and 35's. Put a taller cam in it, headers and dual exhaust. Two 10's behind the seat. Between side outlet exhaust and the speakers that truck rumbled. Buried that sucker more than once. Wish I still had it. This pic is from 2003 and is all I can find.. Just shows a small portion of it. Pics if you have them! *EDIT* And tell us what you currently drive. Would be interesting to see what your favorite ride was compared to your current transportation. (If your fav and current vehicle differ) This is basically what it looks like. Except there is no front skirt or rear mud flaps anymore. Took them off.
'97 Chevy 4x4 short bed. Black, single cab, and that little 4.3 ran forever hassle free. I bought it after working my butt off the summer when I was 16. That thing drove me through the glory days of high school in a small town. If it could of talked, it would have some stories. I regretfully sold it off when I was 19 to buy my shiny (then newish) GMC that I still have today. It had 185,000 miles when I sold it it, with only routine maintenance done. Last I heard it was still cruising around with 230xxx+ on it. It was nothing fancy, but it was mine, and I had a lot of fun with it. I'm sure I have some pics, but I'll have to drag them out wherever they are.
I have a soft sport for single cab short bed K1500's. I'd love to have an old k5 Chevy from the early / mid 70's to early 80's lifted on 33 or 35's.
2000 silverado z71 with the 5.3 got it when I was still in school buried that thing in the mud a ton of times an pulled way to much weight with it regularly but I had a lot of fun in it
1966 Pontic Lemanns/GTO clone built to drag race but was still street legal 675HP and over 560FP of torque[dyno'd].. just a nasty nasty car to drive on the street but is was a blast, could do a football field long burn out it also got about 10mpg.
One of my best friends has a 70 Lemanns Luxury he is building a 400 big block for. Super clean car for it's age, let alone being an Ohio car. Kind of a shame to hack up such a clean and straight survivor.
sweet I have had a ton of old jeeps love them ,my fav was my 1974 cj5 that came with the 360ci was almost too much motor for that jeep... my first was 1969 wagoneer AKA tank .
I come by it honestly. My dad has always had jeeps. When his 64 (?) broke down he traded it in on a brand new '73 and has had it ever since. In 2001 we did a new frame/body rebuild. I learned a lot about cars that summer. Dad and is '73 CJ5 Both our Jeeps out on the ice
The vehicle I had that was the most fun was a 1998 Acura Integra GSR I bought when I was 18. Had the Vtec engine, leather interior, sunroof and stuck to the road like glue. Had a few upgrades under the hood as well. Totaled it out after having it for 2 years. Then I got a Chevy S10 ZR2, it started rust out so I bought a 2013 Ram 1500 Express (not without the 5.7 liter Hemi) and use the S10 for a wood getter. Here's my Ram 1500 the day I bought it. And a couple other pics of it
I'm 26 and haven't owned many vehicles... I commute to work so cannot afford the gas in a truck. 2005 Buick Century - Tank of a car that gets good gas mileage and is going strong at 210,000 miles.
Toss up for me...neither are fancy or classics. First, '98 Ford Ranger single cab, 4x4, 5 speed with a 4.0. Litterally took it everwhere, and a wonder I wasn't killed in it. 2nd, '01 Chevy 1500, 5.3, regular cab, cut off at 98 lol. I'll try to find pics...and like a dumb *** traded it when I was at my other job and was traveling a lot.
The first vehicle I ever bought on my own was a '03 SVT Focus and I loved it, big enough trunk for a deer and to sleep in! Now I have something a little more useful for what im into
I can't find a pic but my favorite was my first car when I was 16. It was a 1982 chevy S10 with a V8 under the hood. My dad bought the frame off some farmer who had it sitting behind his barn. We fixed it up and painted it red. Then my dad had a 350 just sitting in his shop so thats what we put in her. Had custom dual exhaust installed and of course a cd player and decent looking rims (I was 16 after all). Miss that truck. I wish we wouldn't have sold it before I went off to college.
1986 3/4 ton Ford. It had a 351 Windsor in it. I pulled motor and rebuilt it myself. Threw some headers on it and it was go time. I could not keep tires under that thing. Lol! 330 pony's under the hood. I love the sound of a sweet exhaust system so my foot was in accelerator often. I so miss that truck. I rolled it going around the corner of my driveway. Damn power steering acted up and I corrected it right as I started to go down my steep ditch. Off to the junk yard it went 2 weeks later minus the motor.
