I just watched a video clip over at huffingtonpost.com Lars Anderson a Danish archer, holy crap he puts us all to shame. He contends that we should load an arrow with our draw hand from the right instead of the left if you are right handed. Heck of a shot.
I'm guessing you mean this video. It's been all over facebook the last week.
Just watched it this morning. That's wild. I don't know if I would have the patience to practice like that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
You don't find the speed/precision combination the least bit impressive? Sure the guy looks like a complete dork, but that is a pretty badass skill to master. I wouldn't believe it without watching the video.
Just watched this video on another site. Somebody sent it to me and I will have to say that it's pretty impressive. Don't know how practical it really is but was kinda neat
I wonder how many takes some of those shots took. I'm watching 300,rise of an empire and many of the "archers" were using this style. Wonder if they actually researched this or it was by pure accident. One reason to shoot off the inside of the shelf is because of archers paradox (arrow has to bend around shelf) so in the real world with the arrow bending into the shelf,(like with this style)how much energy is robbed?
Danish "Archer" Demonstrates Gullibility of Audience - GeekDad This guy breaks it down pretty good IMO
