Even the die hard Cowboy fans cant say the refs are a joke in this game. The delusional fans...probably not!
Detroit was screwed! Refs pick up the flag with no explanation. Dez Bryant comes on the field to argue the flag which he should have been penalized for being on the field! What a joke!!!
when they picked up that flag on a OBVIOUS pass interference I about freaked.... I had no dog in the fight And and am a Packer / Patriots fan.. It also didn't help the the lions shot themselves in the foot several times on the cowboys last drive..
Should have had an explanation on the picked up flag, but Strahan said it best... it wasn't THAT blatant of a pass interference... If no flag was thrown in the first place, no one would even be upset about that play. I hate both teams so don't really care. I do like that the Cowboys have a better chance to knock off GB than the Lions did IMO.
The Lions didn't get screwed over by the refs, they screwed themselves over. They were up 14-0 but let the Cowboys hang around then took a nose dive in the second half. On that controversial penalty, the receiver had his hand in the defenders facemask. How could he turn his head around to make a play on the ball? There was plenty of missed calls on both sides of the ball, just like every other game.
I agree. It goes both ways. I agree about the picking up of the flag. That was pretty bad. But the play itself wasnt' that blatant. How about the no running into the dallas kicker call? After they just flagged dallas for the same exact play. Or the ridiculous offensive pass interference call on Dallas on a huge 3rd and 8? I was going crazy about the refs blowing calls against dallas all game.
If we went down the list it wouldn't even be close. Dez Bryant on the field without a helmet as they picked up the flag should have made an obvious pass interference call into a personal foul. Also the dallas player had the Detroit player by the facemask and pushed back towards the punter. There should have been a flag but it should have been on Dallas.
There may have been several no calls on both side during the game, and there were.. But the picking up of the flag on a blatant pass interference was unforgivable by the refs, even the ref in the both said it was...you have to play the ball not the receiver...the Dallas play had both hand up and basically ran into the receiver...pass interference,face guarding.illegal contact what ever you want to call it... It killed the Lions Momentum and set the tone for the rest of the game...
I'd be pretty damn upset if I was a Lion fan. But, people that say the game was fixed are delusional. Therefs screwed up, plain and simple.
Ridiculous. They stand no chance against Green Bay anyways. Anyone else hate Jerry Jones? I love how they don't show him at all while they're losing but as soon as they go up, it's all cameras on him. The saddest part is Tony Romo has been in the NFl what, 10 years now (?), and only two playoff wins.
