This is a big win for the cord cutters like myself. Now if only ESPN did this I would be all set. As it stands, I'll just live without ESPN. I hope HBO really starts this trend and allows people to go more pay per view instead of having to buy 146 channels every month and only watch 5.

I still hate that all of you people get high speed internet. I live in a tiny little pocket of technological lacking country. Go 5 miles, and people have cable. Me? Sub par Verizon DSL or Satellite. That's it.

I wish I could just get a set top box and be done with it. As it stands, I will forever be a slave to DISH network :D

I've been off satellite for 6 months now. Guess I've saved about $720 already. We use prime and antenna. I'd probably get HBO GO if priced right.

I've heard rumors it will be in the $15/month range. We shall see.

Same as me, my only option for Internet was this home fusion system by Verizon. it basically brings 4G in your house as a wireless connection. It sucks because it's a data plan so you can't stream any video at all. I have a 10-year-old daughter that loves to face time, last month my Internet bill was $220

I feel your pain. There's a phone company that has a monopoly in our area. It can't handle more than one computer per household and the connection is down more than it should be.

Ouch. I do have a pretty low bill. $75/month with DVR and 150 channels, but it's 142 channels of crap :D

Netflix, Amazon Prime, and a digital antenna for local channels are all I need. It has been a year since I've had cable, and I truly don't miss it.

If ESPN had a streaming service, I suppose I would consider it.

That is exactly what we have. I really miss Monday Night Football and College Football games not on broadcast TV but not enough to justify the bill.

How quickly can you guys watch prime time TV episodes on Hulu/Netflix? If this HBO thing happens that would be sweet and might force me to make a move.

All depends. Some networks release right away. Some wait a few months.

1 year dish free. Went out and bought a ruko 3. Best thing ever. Now they add the hunt channel and pursuit channel. HBO is a big move too.

Any advice on indoor hd antenna? The nearest market is about 40 miles from me. My dish dvr is toast now so I need to decide if I want to upgrade dish or go back to cable. There are so many channels I would miss if I just had locals and Netflix

No way any indoor antenna goes 40 miles. Maybe an attic one. Probably need to get outside depending on the topography.
