We are literally having the equivalent of the gold rush in terms of drilling and extracting oil and natural gas in North America. Many people don't know what is really going on in PA, WV, ND and Canada. It really is a good thing occurring.

Would be nice if the prices stayed low for all my trips down to the hunting woods this fall and winter.

Ours is still in the $3.20 range but that is cheap. $0.51/gallon of that alone is taxes.

Oregon yesterday was $3.17 but we have to pay the gas attendants too. Although when its windy and rainy like today I don't mind.

Back when I was a kids you pulled up a bell rang a guy came out filled up your car, washed your windshield, would even check your oil apon request. There was no tipping usually just a Christmas gift if there was a regular guy.

It was 2.979 here about 2 weeks ago, radio news mentioned it and said that it was expected to continue dropping for a few more months.

Two days later it was 3.399, and it just now finally got back down to 2.979. I suspect it will jump up 30-40 cents by th is time next week.

Always amazes me how it can jump up 30 cents or more in.one day on speculation, yet it only drops a few cents a week afterwards.

Amazes me even more when people get excited when it drops to $3. Let it hit $1.50 and I'll be impressed, but we all know it won't ever happen again.

What really cracked me up when it was 2.97 last time, just below it e85 was 2.99.

e85 is probably one of the biggest flops out there

We can't legally pump our own gas. We don't pay the attendants but I am sure it's incorporated. It makes for some annoying waiting when the station is busy. Sometimes if they are slammed and my pump finishes I will put it back and put the cap back on the truck. The attendant usually thanks me, but once in a while you get someone who thinks they have a little bit to much authority and chews you out.

I know. You go twenty miles north to Washington and you can. Actually there have been a few times where I sit in my truck and wait for someone to do it. That's embarrassing. I think it's stupid, but most of the people that make the laws in this beautiful state are to high and hugging Trees to do anything productive.
