I remember sitting in the Georgia Dome watching the tide beat this squad by 20 last year, with Logan Thomas at quarterback. I told my wife then, even though we won....that team has some playmakers for sure. I also think everyone will realize how much Braxton miller and carlos hyde carried them.
The Illini are 2-0. :p. Just 4 more wins and we will call it a good year. How about the qb's numbers for playing less than 10 college games.
It was a very tough weekend for B10 football. MSU still is a legit football team that showed a lot of promise as times against the ducks, but every other team just outright sucked.
I love a good Big 10 bashing as much as the next guy, but I do think there is a lot of over reacting to the past couple of weeks. My assessment: - Last weekend, Wisconsin SHOULD have beat LSU. They gave that game away. - MSU looked great against Oregon. I'm not sure any team in the country would have won that game. - OSU simply got beat by a good team in a big game. That happens, especially without your Heisman caliber QB. - Michigan just isn't very good. They hired a mediocre coach and are getting mediocre results. I haven't watched any other B1G teams play, but those 4 losses are getting most of the press. If MSU, Wisc. or OSU run the table, they will easily make the 4 team playoff.
I truly mean this, I would blow Les Miles in the middle of the Big House if he came to Michigan today.
I know not many here care, but PSU's defense actually looked decent this weekend. Hackenberg looked good too. I'm curious to see how some of these stats hold up when they start playing better teams. I know it's irrelevant for this year but the next couple of years are going to be interesting for sure for Penn State fans.
