The article I saw on Facebook said possible suicide. I actually thought it was one of those jokes going around, but evidently he was battling depression. That's too bad.
He had a history of depression and substance abuse. I grew up watching M&M and my favorite two movies of his was Bi-centennial Man and Good Will Hunting. Never a big fan of his personality as a person but liked some of his work.
He was a funny guy. One of his inspirations was Jonathan Winters which I always enjoyed. We never know what demons that someone is battling. Very sad.
wow this was a shocker. I just got home and popped on to fbook and my news feed was full of this. at first i thought it was one of those celebrity hoaxes. guess not. He will be missed!
While he was certainly most widely known for his comedy....I actually enjoyed his dramatic movie roles more...he was a great actor
Not to me it doesn't. While I'm not personally saddened by this... I am kinda bummed out we won't see any more of his works. Mrs. Doubtfure and Good Will Hunting are still two of my favorite movies of all time. And if you haven't seen it, YouTube his stand up skit about golf. Comedic Gold.
It's too bad that anyone feels the need to resort to suicide. I enjoyed his work, but I don't value his life any more than anyone else's. It always blows my mind when someone has so much, yet they still cannot cope with life and resort to drugs or suicide. I feel more sorry for those that he left behind than the man himself.
