Just got in from a emergency root canal and though I was under heavy nitrous ...I clearly heard the doctor say Oh ****.. And after words he said I would be in a lot of pain for a few days. What the
He said when he got in there it was a lot worse then it looked.and he was right I am in a lot of pain and headed to bed.night guys
You would be blown away if you heard the conversations that go on in operating rooms.... like absolutely floored. LOL
That's never something you want to here a doctor say. That was the first thing the doctor at Johns Hopkins said to me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
When I got my wisdom teeth out I actually came to for a second during the surgery and the noticed the nurse was holding my hand really tightly. I must have not been completely knocked out because I felt way more pain than I should have.
I was wide awake when they pulled all my wisdom teeth. It was a lot of pressure and cracking going on but no real pain until the next day when I went to school.
Without naming names give us some examples. I find this fascinating what goes on in the operating room.
It's like a conversation you would expect between buddies at a bar having a beer, only the surgeon is elbows deep in a patient. LOL Anything from arguing over sports to how hot a nurse is, the patients appearance...one surgeon took a call mid surgery and just had the tech hold his phone up to his head. The surgical techs can be just as humorous. Rock/Paper/Scissors are often played to see who has to shave the patient down there before they get started.
So I was awaken this morn at around 4 am in a lot of pain, I have a ice bag on top of my head and one on my cheek already taken 2 heavy pain meds and Tylenol even tried putting whiskey in the area of the tooth. The doctors office is closed on Friday and until Monday . So I may have to got to the emergency room today..not sure what they can do anyway **** this hurts..thought the whole point of a root canal was to stop the pain
Sounds like they may have hit a nerve. I was completely out when I got my wisdom teeth pulled along with a baby tooth. That darn baby tooth hurt more than the impacted wisdom teeth. The ER would be able to prescribe a pain killer and an antibiotic if you feel an infection going on. But, since they gave you pain meds, not sure what else they could do for you. Best of luck, hopefully it gets better, soon!
He should have already been given prophylactic antibiotics in the first place with those pain killers.
They gave me amoxicillin and Vicodin and I feel better this morning and will have to go in monday for them to look it over, I have to give them some credit they brought me in after hours and worked late. I don't think I have been that sick before.i was in bed on my third day with what I thought was a massive migraine head ache.
