    Took a little vacation time.

Checked out the battlefield in Gettysburg, PA.

    Did a cavern tour

My tallest son wasn't amused by the low clearance

But the boys enjoyed the underground Lake.

    So did the girls.

    Did a bit of fishing.

    Caught a few small fish
    [IMG]

    Went to a wedding
    [IMG]

Went to a part of DC (National Harbor) that we had never visited
    [IMG]

    Saw this cool sculpture

After we returned I we helped the neighbor launch his restored boat

I need another vacation, I'm exhausted!

What have others done for vacation this summer?

I'm leaving tomorrow to take my high school youth group on a mission trip. I'll post some pictures when we get back.

Gettysburg was overwhelming, it covers such a large area, has a tremendous number of memorials and many details related to the battle.

My neighbor and his brother did most of the work, myself and my son helped a bit with the sanding, epoxying, engine work and finding bits online to help out. The boat is a 1956 Peterborough.

We bought a home with a pool, so the wife and I pawned off all the kids to relatives for two weeks and we had a stay-cation. But normally we drive to Top Sail Island and fish for a week or so.
