Which one do you enjoy the most if prepared exactly the way you like it? Which one untimely gives you the most joy in eating?

Do not consider health, cost, or the fact that you killed it yourself. Just consider the most perfect fish you have ever had vs the most perfect venison you have ever had vs the most perfect beef you have ever had.

I prefer a good steak, but love to grill regardless of the meat.

Nothing beats a filet mignon or new York strip, but backstraps are in a close 3rd.

Ditto for me. I love venison but it's hard to beat a well marbled chunk of beef. Fish is a second only because I don't eat as much good fish as I'd like. Mmmmm..... toro. (Tuna, not the bull)

I had to vote for Beef as well, although venison is my main protein of choice.

If I'm going to grill out, nothing beats a 2lb portehouse. I love venison, but it's really hard to get one of those kinds of cuts out of it. You can only butterfly the straps so thick.

Heading up to Lake Michigan this weekend, hopefully I'll have some salmon to try afterwards. Sadly I've never had grilled salmon

Grilled salmon is great but smoked > grilled imo.

Not really, always ate bluegill, catfish and such growing up. Was a picky eater as well, so never got around to it lol.

Think the only time I've ate salmon was salmon Patties made out of canned salmon on bread with mustard

Can't go wrong with some fresh caught fish.

    Man... That's tough.

Can't beat a grilled medium rare beef steak.

Followed by some freshly caught/made Cajun walleye fingers.

And then fresh back straps sautéed with onions.

No contest and I do love my beef steaks but I'd throw them out in the yard for a backstrap.

Not sure I can trust someone who prefers fish over steak. :bash: Just kidding. Filet Mignon is the favorite for me.
