Yesterday we lost a great actor and patriot, James Garner. He was great as Maverick and James Rockford, he was great in The Great Escape and Murphy's War, and he was great in Space Cowboys. He also served during the Korean War and was wounded twice in combat. I don't think there was a more likeable actor and patriot. May you rest in peace sir.
That sucks. I will always remember watching Maverick (the show) w/my grandfather; and I also watched a lot of Rockford Files w/ my grandma when they used to babysit us. Always enjoyed his stuff; and never knew he had served the country. Thanks for the (sad) news - I try to stay away from TV on the weekends; so I would probably have never heard.
I remember him well. Very good actor..........:D I didn't know he was a wounded veteran from the Korean war.
Support your local sheriff was one of my favorites. When asked if he would do a nude scene he replied " I don't do horror films"
Me and my dad used to watch Rockford files together every night. He's the last of a dying breed so to speak. A great actor and man. Sorry to see him pass, but he's probably in a better place.
