Yesterday at the VA Medical Center I had some time to kill between tests so I bought a book at the hospital store. It's a book entitled "A Look at Life from a Deer Stand - Hunting for the Meaning of Life" by Steve Chapman. So far it seems pretty good. Has anyone else read this? What else is everyone reading right now?
I have not read it...but it looks like one I should read...as well as some Anti's I know....let us know if it turns into a good read through and through
I just finsihed AMerican Sniper and they guy's arrogance completely turned me off from the book, didnt like it much at all. The Lone Survivor book was fantastic though. Right now I am reading "The Last River Rat." I grew up hunting, fishing and camping on the Mississippi between MN and WI and it really brings back the the past for me. Anyone else growing up on or around a river will be able to relate. Really enjoying it. The Last River Rat: Kenny Salwey's Life in the Wild: J Scott Bestul: 9780896587496: Amazon.com: Books
He wasn't arrogant ...I just finished the book. He was actually the exact opposite. I felt any arrogance was coming from the guy helping him write it. Fantastic book!
I'm reading engineers of victory. It's being forced on me but it's a pretty insightful book about ww2. You should read it Iowa, I'm sure it'll make you nostalgic for when you were there.
