I'm planning to build one on my ground after the season. My daughter is starting to show interest in going deer hunting, as well as my nieces. I'm thinking roughly 6' x8' and probably 10-12 feet in the air. Feel free to share any advice or pics...

Have you looked in the DIY section? I asked a couple of years ago and someone directed me towards a great and detailed thread on this very subject.

I have a couple. Will try to post up some pics tomorrow. Fun to build and great for getting kids or non hunters involved.

It's 12' x 12'. I think it's just under 22' to the roof on the front side. Kinda crazy, but I'm a go big or go home kinda guy :)

That may be out of my price range :) Sweet set up though!

Haha, yeah it would have been out of mine too. All that metal came off the roof to my house after we had a hellacious hail storm.

My step dad has built over 20. He builds them all on a trailor frame so they can be moved and the last several can be cranked up and down. These are the best.

If you are looking to do it cheaper the elevator brackets work good for getting a platform. Then you can put a pop up blind on it. You can easily take the pop up blind down during the off season. I am going on my second year on this set up and it seems to work pretty good.

Thanks for posting pics guys. It's going to have to be framed stand of some sort. I want the weather protection and stability so no one (kids) fall off the platform. I like the portable trailer idea, but there are too many small ditches and such to make one work.

We built two in years past using the Elevators BJE80 used in his. Instead of a pop-up blind though we built actual walled shacks with shingled roofs. If I can find a pic or two I'll post them. The base can be pre-built and stood up easily with the help of a 4 wheeler but the walls were a little more difficult to get up and into place as I pre-built them and sheathed with T-111. They were crazy heavy to get into place so my recommendation is to build them on site if possible or at least just do the frame work.

In addition, I have added a railing to the side so that the kids can't fall off by me either. But Chuck is right, you can build walls as well.

Check with your local electric company to see if they have any old used telephone poles. You could use those to get the elevation and then build a platform and frame around that. I was able to get 7 telephone poles for my daughters softball field for free. A lot of times they won't give you the full length poles due to safety, the ones I got were a bit over 20', which should be plenty long. That's the route I plan on going if I build any more.

Not very good pics, but here is a 6 x 8 with a covered deck. Full size steel entry door to the deck. It has sliding vinyl windows and my youngest son shot his first two deer from it with a muzzleloader. Steel roof and wood siding. It sits about 16 feet to the floor.

Here is another. 14 x 16. 20 ft to the floor and wrap around deck. This one is kind of ridiculous. Fully insulated and carpeted. Even has framed art and antler mounts etc., hanging on the walls. I don't have any current pictures since it was furnished but its very comfy. I have never shot a deer from it. I sit in stands near it and freeze like an idiot. lol Even my wife will go sit in this one with her camera. It overlooks a two acre plot.
