then I'll see you there. I shoot there almost every weekend.

PS: if you find a Carbon Express Maxima red w/ a Rage practice broadhead on it stuck into the bottom of that hill, it's mine... :busted:

Pretty nice looking range, too far though and too close to that big city up north.

Definitely be nice having something like that around though.

oh, yeah- friendly advice. Bring a block target and hang it from the top of those targets (use a bungie or similar) and shoot into that. The round ones are wound tight as heck and I've seen more than one dude sink an arrow in and not be able to pull them out and/or lose inserts.

Now I know what you mean lol Hubby almost shot one through and it was really hard to pull them out. Didn't loose any arrows or inserts but still gonne get some targets (besides our Rinehard cube) that we can attach. Shot really tight groups at 20 and at 30. At 40 they were all over the place though. It might have been the combination of wind and too light arrows. I have 500's but 600's for the indoor range. I'll also get another stabilizer in a while so that might help to hold it steadier. It was really fun though!

Just a thought, but Coon Creek Hunt Club has a fantastic outdoor range with 3D targets and tons of bag targets. Very low traffic too, there is pretty much no one there and the yearly cost for just an archery membership is reasonable. If you didn't know, Coon Creek is owned by Todd who also owns this site. It's out in Garden Prarie, and you can see tons of video of the club if you watch the video that shows the bowhunting.com GTG.

I'm sure all that's true, but Coon Creek is about another hour north...on on a good day.

Definately would be nice to have a course like that around here. We did have an indoor range - but the guy got offered a job at Field and Stream that just opened and closed his shop down.

    Have fun!

Do you go there? Just got my card for the door yesterday :D Went there and shot inside and went outside later. Holy cow it was hard to pull out the arrows inside but outside they were stuck really good. Here is my first shot from the treestand

I never thought archery would be so much fun! I've been practicing 1-3 times a week. My step-dad wants to take me hunting next year. Yay! My grandpa would be so proud if he would still be alive.

I used to but last year the wife's dad was sick and we took care of him until he passed and I never got the time to renew....We also moved a little farther north toward Algonquin so it is a longer drive.

Sorry to hear about her dad. Yeah that's quiet the drive.

Her dad is just the start of it all. Lost Grandma in May and ended up in the Hospital the day of her services. Lost a friend I grew up with in early July, One of our best friends fathers who is like family in February, last Tuesday I found my wife's grandmother dead, three weeks after the wife's Uncle passed and just last might my father called to let me know my step mother passed yesterday. Between the wife and I we are running out of family and her Great Aunt that we take care of isn't in the best of health.
