    Picked up a few fireworks a couple weeks ago. Should be a good time, we pull a dock out in the middle of a private lake to light them off.

    It's INDEPENDENCE DAY, not the "4th of July".
    Do you say "Merry 25th of December" or "Happy January 1st" ?

    Words have meaning...if we don't re-enforce our traditions and culture then who will? Publik Skools? Hah! In California public schools they already hold the celebration of Cinco de Mayo in higher esteem than Old Glory.

    Also to be correct we do need to continue to explain the reason and pass the meaning of the fourth of July for those that think shopping sales and fireworks parties hold sway over the blood spilled in victory over those that put stumbling blocks in the path of American Freedom.
