anyone else having trouble doing this? I keep getting an upload failed error. If I uncheck the box like I used to it removes the "OK" button. Happening for both pictures and gifs. What am I screwing up? Always worked fine before

That happened to me once. I cleared my cookies and such, restarted my browser and it never happened again. ... I'm suddenly hungry for a cookie.
My kid is infatuated with Cookie Monster right now. He runs around the house saying "Cookie Monster Eat Cookie" all day long.
Show offs... I can embed a video and I can upload a pic and insert from photobucket etc, but I cannot embed a copied URL for an image or gif. I get an error that says file is invalid or file failed. If I uncheck the box below the copied URL like I used to the "OK" box disappears. I dunno
Are you using the "Insert Image" or "Link" function? Should have asked this first....are you on Tapatalk or a web browser?
I was able to attach it in my above post. Try clearing out your cookies and restarting your browser like Fitz suggested and see if that helps.
You can also post it by using the IMG coding. (IMG)your link(/IMG) only use brackets [] instead of parentheses ()
