Where on your waist? Rec carrying IWB appendix. Check out incog g code and galco triton for that position.

I just bought the blackhawk serpa holster for carrying my pistol while backpacking. Fits my Glock 10mm and my S&W M&P 45 which was a big plus. Will have it attached to the front waist band of the pack for a quick draw scenario.

I guess, right hip, possibly on my back (pants) or attached to my badlands monster pack. Not sure if one holster answers all of those? I'm telling you guys this is a subject I'm clueless in.

I assume IWB. But possibly a cheaper OWB for the woods?

For open carry I use a serpa holster. For ccw, I usually use my purse. ;)

I have the blackhawk thigh rig too. I kinda want one for each leg. So I can be like a fat Lara Croft. :D

I carry IWB shirt over for CC then have my shirt tucked and still carry IWB with firearm visible. Check out the galco triton. You can get that for $40

i have had great experience with the serpa holsters for sigs, 229,226, and 239.

I have a few handmade and custom holsters for some six-guns. they are AWESOME. They arent your $30-40 holsters but they are nice.

Dont order anything online if you havent put eyes on it. For IWB i have a LOBO holster that i use for my LCR that i have loved. My next holster for woods walking will be Simply Rugged holster. Check them out they make handmade quality stuff.

PS... Get a good belt, it will make a bigger difference than a good holster will

Very true. Especially if you CC daily. Blackhawk has some nice 1.5 belts. Pricey though

I know that when Rick James sees this he will swear by the Crossbreed for IWB. I have a similar holster from Galco called the King Tuk and it is great, comfortable and holds my Glock great. I also have a basic suede Galco IWB I'm not as fond of for my XDS which I plan to replace with another King Tuk.

Check out Hidden Hybrid Holsters. One holster, wear it IWB or OWB!
